What's a good color shirt and tie for a dark suit? - what color shirt to wear with a light grey suit

The suit is not black, but a very dark gray. Always use a light blue shirt (a solid and bare), with a blue tie in Nice. I am from the university and at a formal reception this evening, I am looking for something elegant but not boring. Currently I have 1 white and 2 blue shirts, so I think, an avenue in a little bit to get something new. Any ideas would be great, or a picture online would be even better. The best idea is 10 points.

And BTW, I prefer not too many bright colors (eg dark blue), but I try to something new.
